Kuwait Society of Engineers Exhibition
GRTC Solar received Appreciation Memento from the Kuwait Engineers Society for participation for GREEN Camp in Ahmadi, alongside other Renewable Energy companies from the State of Kuwait. The exhibition was conducted from 18th to 20th of December 2014.

Study shows greater potential for solar power
According to a study published in the Journal Nature Climate Change, Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) could supply a large portion of power supply in a decarbonized energy system. Mr Stefan Pfenninger, who led the study working at IIASA “Solar energy systems can satisfy much more of our hunger for electricity, at not much more cost than what we currently have,” says, who led the study while working at International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA).

Development in Reducing Solar Glare from Solar Panels
Researchers from the University of Loughborough have developed a multi-layer anti-reflection (AR) coating for glass surfaces, which reduces the sun's reflection from photovoltaic panels while at the same time improving their efficiency.Professor Walls, Dr Piotr Kaminski and Fabiana Lisco claimes that the AR coating reduces the reflection by more than 70 per cent across the wavelength range.

Environmentally compatible organic solar cells
This new project "MatHero" managed by The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) aims at producing organic PV competitive to their inorganic counterparts by enhancing the efficiency of organic solar cells thereby decreasing the production costs and increasing their life-span. Environmentally friendly processes for materials synthesis and coating play an important role. This project is funded by the European Commission with EUR 3.5 million.

Solar-Thermal Panels That Generate Electric Power
Researchers at Boston College, USA and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have made advancement in generating electricity up to eight times higher efficiency than previous solar thermoelectric generators. This was done by using nano structured materials with enhanced thermoelectric properties inside a vacuum sealed panel.
